DaKheera47/job-ops
Aggregates 10+ job boards, AI-scores fit, tailors CVs, and auto-tracks application status.
What it does
- Multi-source job search — Scrapes LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and 10+ additional job boards from one interface; TypeScript extractors allow custom board addition
- AI-driven CV tailoring — Generates role-specific resume rewrites scored against job descriptions; supports multiple AI providers (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, OpenRouter)
- Job fit scoring — Ranks opportunities 0–100 against user profile; includes visa sponsorship detection for UK roles
- Email-based tracking — Connects to Gmail to detect recruiter replies and auto-update application status (Interviewing, Rejected, Offer)
- Self-hosted + SaaS — Docker Compose self-hosting (free, AGPLv3+Commons Clause) or managed cloud instance (£20–30/month)
How it works
TypeScript/Node.js full-stack (browser UI + backend) using pluggable extractors for each job board (jobspy library + custom scrapers). AI provider agnostic—calls OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini via configurable endpoints. Gmail integration via IMAP for application status tracking. Schema-driven extraction allows new boards to be added without backend changes. Self-hosted via Docker; cloud instances enforce optional per-user quota limits for expensive operations.
Standing & signals
3,850 stars, last pushed 2026-08-10. Active development with documented self-hosting guide and extractor patterns. Single-author backing. 800+ self-hosted users and 4,000+ job searches run indicate product-market fit for the self-hosted niche.
Q2 — Apply where
Not now. This is a job-hunting productivity tool with no overlap to market research, financial analysis, social content automation, or the AI learning path.
Q3 — Fit for current projects + sketch
No fit. ClientCo and Financial Analysis both produce reports about markets; this tool helps users navigate the job market. Research Console is a read-and-categorize pipeline for research sources; this tool searches a specific domain (job boards) and applies deterministic AI scoring (CV tailoring), not research categorization.
Q4 — Future-watch verdict
IGNORE. The patterns (multi-source scraping, user-driven query, AI-based scoring, email tracking) are established; no novel technique to watch.
